Our Story

My name is Keta. I have always loved western fashion, cowgirl trends, vintage rodeo styles and finding ways to incorporate this into the modern day look. I've never met a leopard print, cactus, fringe or turquoise that I didn't like.  I am a 4th generation Nevada cowgirl with roots also in Pendleton, Oregon.  Currently, my small business is based out of eastern Washington on an 600 acre cattle ranch.  I am a school principal during my work week, and my passion for education is just as strong as my passion or the western lifestyle.

In today's world it isn't as common to see folks upholding traditional values such as respect, hard work, honesty and integrity.  In fact, it takes a lot of grit and commitment to be true to these values.  To me, having that type of grit defines a "western" lifestyle.  As you walk through this life, I encourage you to "put a little western in your walk"

The History of the Rockin' Spade

The Rockin' Spade is a cattle brand used for four generations by the Cline Family of Northern Nevada. It is registered in Nevada as the "Quarter Circle Spade". The Rockin' Spade has represented several business ventures throughout the years, all centered around our western roots. You will see a lot of black & white rodeo and western imagery used in our ad campaigns  - these images are past generation members of the Cline family.

Rockin' Spade x RYAN RAE

Rockin' Spade x RYAN RAE is a collection of designs created by one of the youngest members of the Rockin' Spade family.  My niece, Ryan Rae, has a touch of artistic talent as well as an eye for western fashion and trends.  In the summer of 2023 Ryan Rae decided that she would like to see some of her designs on t-shirts and other merchandise, thus the Rockin' Spade x RYAN RAE collection was born.

Encouraging Ryan Rae's entrepreneur spirit was right up my alley.  I spent 2 years as the retail manager for the Pendleton Round-Up, and still enjoy designing clothing that is western style themed.  Besides following her Auntie's ventures, merchandising is definitely a recurring theme in her life. Ryan Rae's paternal Great-Grandmother, Irene Cline, had numerous businesses in the Las Vegas and Reno casinos that catered to tourists who were looking for that western flair.  Irene's ventures included clothing boutiques, Indian Trading Posts / Jewelry Stores and Art Galleries.  Ryan's mother, Brittany, is also a merchandiser for a northwest based farm and feed store.  Brittany also helps design graphic tees for Rockin' Spade. Merchandising in the western industry is definitely a part of her roots, and her creativity in her design work is really special.

Please stop by to visit the Rockin' Spade x RYAN RAE collection.  Her designs will not disappoint.  Add a favorite design to your shopping cart, and you will be sure to put a smile on the face of this talented, dance team dancing, barrel racing, breakaway roping, animal loving young cowgirl!
